Cahuita National Park

This national park covers more than 1,100 hectares (2,718 acres) of land, and 22,400 hectares (55,350 acres) of marine area, including one of the most developed coral reefs of the Caribbean Coast. You can hike through the park on an 8.5 km (5.3 mi) trail which runs through forest and along beautiful beaches where you can stop for a swim. At Cahuita Point,

excursion boats offer guided snorkeling tours to the coral reef. It is not allowed to swim to the coral reefs from the beach. The coastal forest is home to howler monkeys, white-faced capuchin monkeys, sloths, iguanas, land crabs, and many seabirds.
